The Milli Majlis approved in the first reading that the registration of insured persons with the insurer should be carried out only with the individual identification number (FIN).
Modern.az reports that amendments to the Labor Code, the Law "On Individual Accounting in the State Social Insurance System" and the Law "On Labor Pensions" in this regard were discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
Currently, when insurers submit a single quarterly declaration related to paid employment, including both social security number (SSN) and FIN information creates an additional workload and leads to the overloading of the database in the system.
For this reason, it is proposed that the registration of insured persons with the insurer be carried out only with FIN. This will ensure uniformity and consistency in data management within the social insurance system, as well as facilitate data exchange between institutions and accelerate the integration of e-systems.
It was stated that the adoption of the project will enable the application of modern approaches and increase efficiency in the operation of the social insurance system. At the same time, when hiring insured persons who have a social security number, insurers will no longer need to request the SSN or ascertain the social security number by other means.
It should be noted that data registration in the relevant areas of most state bodies is also carried out via FIN.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
