"Let separate culinary tourism be established in our country. Because everyone who comes to Azerbaijan falls in love with our cuisine".
Modern.az reports that Polad Bülbüloğlu, Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, said this at a public hearing held in the Parliament's Labor and Social Policy Committee on the topic "Current situation and development prospects of tourism in Azerbaijan."
The MP noted that citizens should be attracted to tourism by using their own homes:
“There is no need to build large hotels in some small towns and settlements. Banks with state shares can allocate special loans so that citizens can expand their homes or build an additional house. That is, citizens themselves should be close to the tourism sector. Naturally, conditions must be created for this. This can be resolved officially. Opportunities should be created for more citizens to demonstrate themselves in the tourism sector. In my opinion, this is very important”.
