Let's hold a public hearing on tea growing in Lankaran.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Anar Isgandarov, Chairman of the Science and Education Committee, at the public hearing held today by the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Results and Prospects”.
The committee chairman also drew attention to the decreasing interest in tea growing in the southern region:
“There are tea growing farms in the district I represent. Previously, there were many tea plantations in these areas. Today, only a handful remain. Tea growing is a field where a plant, once planted, yields crops for many years. However, to protect these plants, it is necessary to combat pests, properly organize irrigation, and implement other agrotechnical measures in a timely manner”.
Let's hold a public hearing on tea growing in Lankaran once:
“Let that public hearing be right in the center of tea growing” – said A. Isgandarov.
“Foothill lands in Lankaran have been put into use. It seems to me that as a legislative p, we should pay more attention to these issues. As deputies, we work together with executive bodies and the Ministry of Agriculture. But perhaps some laws and recommendations should be prepared so that problems related to rural boundaries and land use are resolved more systematically” – he stated.
