Photo, video, or audio materials prepared using artificial intelligence technologies must be provided with a clear and easily visible marking indicating that they were prepared using such technologies when publicly displayed.
According to Modern.az, the issue is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the laws "On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information" and "On Media," which was discussed at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building and the Human Rights Committee.
The draft law "On Media" states that, based on the requirements for information published and/or broadcast in the media, the dissemination of photo, video, or audio materials that do not reflect reality, or are pornographic or sexually explicit, prepared using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as special software, by using a person's image or voice without their consent, shall not be permitted.
Furthermore, according to the draft law, in cases where such materials are disseminated, broadcasting may be temporarily suspended for up to 24 hours by a decision of the Audiovisual Council. At the same time, the import and dissemination of foreign print media products containing these materials into the country will also be prohibited.
