Elman Mammadov, MP for the 118th Aghdam - Khojaly electoral district, has moved into his home in his native land.

This was stated by Elman Mammadov himself in a statement to Modern.az.

"Currently, I am on my way, going to Khojaly. I will light the Novruz holiday bonfire after 34 years in Khojaly, in my ancestral homeland - in the yard of my house. We will celebrate this year's holiday together with our neighbors. My house was not ready during last year's Novruz holiday. Finally, on February 25 this year, the key to my house in Khojaly was presented to me. I have already moved into my house. I will celebrate the holiday in the yard of my own house after 34 years".

It should be noted that Elman Mammadov was born in 1950 in the city of Khojaly. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute and the Baku Institute of Social Management and Political Science.

From 1973, he worked as a teacher, deputy director, and director at Khojaly rural secondary school. From 1985, he served as secretary of the party organization at the Khojaly vegetable and dairy sovkhoz, from 1987 as chairman of the Khojaly Executive Committee, and from 1991–2000 as head of the Khojaly Executive Power.
Since 2000, he has been a Member of the Milli Majlis.
