President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the work carried out in Chyldyran village of Aghdara district on January 13.
Modern.az reports that the head of state was informed about the work being carried out in the village.
It was noted that Chyldyran is located in the foothills, within the administrative territorial district of the same name in Aghdara district. Before the occupation, the main occupations of the local population were animal husbandry and crop farming. A school, a cultural center, a library, and a medical post operated in the village. The territory of the village is rich in historical monuments. Architectural monuments such as the 12th-century “Alban Temple” and the 13th-century “Red Temple” are located here. As a result of the anti-terrorist operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in September 2023, the occupation of the village was ended.
There are 177 individual houses in the village, of which 69 are unusable and 108 are partially usable. To date, 28 houses have been made ready for use. The restoration of another 30 houses is planned for this year. Currently, 13 families (48 people) have initially returned to the village.
In Chyldyran village, 2 existing transformers, electricity and gas lines have been restored, and new electricity, gas, and communication lines have been laid. Furthermore, a water pump has been put into operation, water reservoirs with a total volume of 190 cubic meters have been cleaned, and a sub-artesian well has been repaired, 8.4 kilometers of internal village roads have been restored, and a park has been established.
Then President Ilham Aliyev visited the family of Verdi Abdullayev, who had moved to the village.
