On March 11, the next relocation took place to Xanabad village of Khojaly district.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, 21 families consisting of 103 people returned to their native lands. The keys to new apartments were presented to residents in Khojaly city.
Mahmud Afandiyev, Deputy Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, speaking at the event, stated that large-scale restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories are accelerating day by day, and the main goal of the implemented projects is to ensure the return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands in a short time and to create a sustainable living environment in the region.
It was noted that, within the framework of restoration and construction programs implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, new settlements are being established, modern infrastructure is being created, and all necessary conditions for the comfortable living of the population are being provided.
For the families relocated to Xanabad village, restored individual residential houses have been provided with all necessary utility services.
The residents returning to their native lands, expressing their gratitude for the conditions created by the state, noted that they experienced the joy of reuniting with their ancestral lands after many years.
