"I expect that at some point, there will also be visits by an American delegation to Armenia."
Modern.az reports that Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on November 5 in a conversation with journalists in parliament, in response to a question about whether visits by an American delegation are expected as part of the "Trump Route" program.
"I do not know if there is a need for a bilateral working group in a concrete, formal sense. If there is, it will be established. Discussions are ongoing. Various infrastructure projects can be involved within the framework of the "Trump Route" program," Mirzoyan said regarding the "Zangezur Corridor."
When asked if this framework has already been defined, the foreign minister replied: "It is clear that this could be a railway, a gas pipeline, an oil pipeline, or power lines. All of these can be discussed."
Journalists noted that the "Trump Route" program envisages the involvement of a third party in the consortium. When asked if anything is already known about the third party, Mirzoyan replied: "In this context, by 'third party,' we do not mean a country or a government. We mean that Armenia and the United States will establish a company with the right to build the project."
