In Armenia, the level of Lake Goycha has sharply decreased in the last 6 months.
Modern.az reports that Levon Azizyan, director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of Armenia, stated at a press conference that, according to data as of December 28, the current lake level is 1900,22 meters. This is 17 cm lower compared to the same period last year.
The main reason for the lake's drying up is cited as dry weather. From a hydrological perspective, due to a relatively dry winter and spring, the water in Lake Goycha has decreased in 2025.
