The former minister's daughter, Narmin Shiraliyeva, born in 1974, graduated from Secondary School No. 27 with an English language specialization in Baku. From 1991 to 1996, she received higher education in culturology at the Faculty of International Journalism of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). In 1996, she began her professional career as an international reviewer at the "Kultura" newspaper. In addition to "Kultura," she published reviews, essays, and interviews with prominent cultural figures in other popular newspapers and magazines published in Moscow.
Later, N. Shiraliyeva's path led to television. Thus, in 1998, she was appointed a correspondent at "Kultura," a Russian state television channel. Later, she worked as a chief editor, reviewer, and host of the "Cultural News" program on the "Kultura" TV channel.
In 2001, she entered postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and in 2004, she defended her candidate's dissertation on the topic "Cultural Relations between Russia and France," receiving the academic degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences.
Narmin Shiraliyeva married Yevgeny Ginsburg, a famous Russian television and film director and screenwriter, in 1997.
In 1999, a son was born into the family and named Alexander.
The film director's marriage to the Azerbaijani woman lasted 14 years. In January 2012, Yevgeny Ginsburg passed away from a stroke.
Narmin Shiraliyeva has been a member of the ruling United Russia Party since March 2011. In February 2013, she was appointed to the post of advisor to the Governor of Moscow Oblast on cultural issues. N. Shiraliyeva worked as the Minister of Culture of Moscow Oblast from 2018 to 2020.
Currently, she holds the post of advisor to the head of "Rossotrudnichestvo," one of the structures of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition, since February 2018, she has been teaching at the Department of International Journalism at MGIMO and is a professor.
The former minister's elder son, Murad Shiraliyev, born in 1978, received his bachelor's degree at Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (1994-1998). Subsequently, he obtained a master's degree in "Economics and Management" at the same university. In 2005, Murad Shiraliyev defended his candidate's dissertation and received the academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
M. Shiraliyev was engaged in pedagogical activities at Azerbaijan State University of Economics from 2001 to 2004. He also started working in the banking sector in 2000, and in 2005, he was elected to the Board of Directors of "Kapital Bank" OJSC.
Subsequently, from July 2015 to December 2018, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at "Azerbaijan International Bank" OJSC.
It is reported that after leaving the International Bank, Murad Shiraliyev worked in a leadership position at the German company "Solaris GmbH." Subsequently, he served as an advisor to the chairman at "Azersigorta" company and resigned from there in 2022.
There is information that Oqtay Shiraliyev's other son, Kazim Shiraliyev, works in the private sector. In 2017, it was reported that K. Shiraliyev had a lavish wedding ceremony at "Bilgah Beach Hotel" and married the daughter of a businessman's family.
