For the 2025-2026 academic year, 10 Azerbaijanis have gained the right to study in Kazakhstan within the framework of the Intergovernmental Scholarship Program.
Information on this was provided to Modern.az by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education.
The program is implemented in accordance with the Protocol dated April 3, 2017, “on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. According to the Protocol, our students will study in Kazakhstan at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
Based on the final decision of the Kazakh side, the selected students have been placed in prestigious higher education institutions of that country. Thus, 6 of them will study at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which ranks 166th in the “QS 2026 World University Rankings” table, 2 at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, which ranks 377th, 1 at Astana International University, and 1 at the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports.
Of the students, 2 have been admitted at the bachelor's level, 7 at the master's level, and 1 at the doctoral level. They will study in the fields of economics and management, humanities and social sciences, and technical and technological specialties.
It should be noted that the announcement regarding the relevant scholarship program was presented to the public on March 18 of the current year.
