To reduce the burden of students' bags, it is proposed to use compactly designed teaching materials in schools.
Modern.az reports that this was reflected in the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) for 2025.
It was noted that, considering that the heavy curriculum, and consequently the abundance of textbooks and their sets, negatively affects the overloading of bags of students, especially those studying in primary grades, and consequently their health status and physical development, the optimization of the curriculum and the use of integrated, more compactly designed teaching materials instead of several additional resources for the same subject, has been proposed.
Furthermore, the expansion of the use of digital resources and, in this regard, the strengthening of the material and technical base in educational institutions, as well as the installation of lockers for students to store materials they do not use daily at school, was also stated.
