There are problems with physical education teachers in schools.
Modern.az reports that Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, stated this during a meeting of the Youth and Sports Committee with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and sports federations.
Elnur Mammadov noted that they do not possess sufficient knowledge and skills to intervene with children harmed by the irresponsibility of sports teachers:
“If a child falls behind in mathematics or physics, we can sense it and, of course, take appropriate measures – we can change schools or hire an additional teacher. However, if a physical education teacher harms a child's health through an improperly organized training process, we have neither the ability nor the knowledge to identify this. Later, when the child reaches a certain age, we question the health problems that emerge, asking where this injury originated. Yet, this is the result of improperly planned loads and a lack of sufficiently professional approach in due time,” he noted.
