Changes have occurred in the squad of the Azerbaijan national team.
**Modern.az** reports, citing AFFA's official website, that midfielders Khayal Aliyev and Shahin Shahniyarov have joined the U-21 team.
They have been replaced by Rustam Ahmadzada ("Sumgayit") and Abdulla Khaybulayev ("Sabah") who have been called up to the main squad.
It should be noted that on September 9, the Azerbaijan national team will face Ukraine in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while the U-21 team will play against Bulgaria in the European Championship qualifiers. Both matches will take place in Baku.
