The continuation of unregulated taxi activity within the airport area, not adapted to a unified system, negatively affects our business reputation and also creates serious risks for passenger safety.
Modern.az reports that Heydar Aliyev International Airport has issued a statement regarding this.
It is stated that one of the Airport's main goals is to provide high-level service to passengers and ensure their comfort: "As in many countries, the airport is the main place that creates the first impression for guests entering the country. However, sometimes guests at the airport encounter persistent offers of taxi services from individuals who have no authorization, have not received appropriate training, and whose vehicles do not meet the required standards, in addition to the various category options offered by official taxi operators. This, in some cases, results in passengers being deceived and dissatisfied. Unfortunately, we still encounter similar situations."
The Airport states that in order to prevent such unpleasant situations, it is essential for taxi operators operating at the airport to provide services in accordance with unified, high-quality, and regulated service standards: "These requirements do not apply to trips made to the airport with private vehicles. We call on all official taxi operators to improve service quality and ensure passenger satisfaction."
