In the territory of Absheron district, a person appealed to the police regarding an unusual fraud incident they encountered.
According to Modern.az, the victim stated that an unknown person approached them in Khirdalan city and asked for 1 manat because they were in need. After giving the money, the same person, seeing a significant amount of money in the victim's pocket, stated that they were conducting a social experiment. He said that a little more money was needed for the show and that he would return it after the filming. In this way, he took 1350 manats from the victim and appropriated it.
Through measures carried out by employees of the Absheron District Police Department, 27-year-old Mehdiyev Elvin Avaz oglu, suspected of committing the fraud, was identified and detained.
An investigation is underway.
