Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenka stated that while visiting a church on Christmas, he prayed to God for snowy and frosty weather in the country.
Modern.az reports that BelTA disseminated information on this matter.
The Belarusian leader added that he is pleased with the snowy winter in the country. Lukashenka specifically noted that snow had fallen knee-deep in the Gomel region.
"We also wanted this, and I, along with others, prayed to God for frost and snow. Look, it happened," he stated.
