The project for the transition to hourly wages has been submitted to the government and is under discussion.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Vəli Quliyev, the head of the State Labor Inspectorate Service, at the press conference held by the service, while speaking on the topic “Work carried out by the State Labor Inspectorate Service for 2025 and its targets for 2026”.
He stated that phased work is envisaged in that direction.
“In many countries, both a monthly minimum wage and an hourly wage system mechanism exist. In Azerbaijan, in the initial stage, the transition of individuals with incomplete employment contracts and contracts up to 1 month to hourly employment contracts is planned”, - V. Quliyev brought to attention.
