Turkey's National Intelligence Organization has detained two individuals determined to be linked to Israel's special intelligence service Mossad.

Modern.az reports, citing "TRT Haber", that within the framework of the “Monitum operation”, an operation was carried out against Mehmet Budak Derya and Veysel Kerimoğlu, who were determined to be working for Israeli intelligence, and they were taken into custody.

It is noted that Mehmet Budak Derya, who is a mining engineer, established contact with Israeli intelligence in 2013 through marble trading activities and held a series of secret meetings in various countries in subsequent years.

Derya, directed by Israeli intelligence, later also involved Veysel Kerimoğlu in the activities.

Both individuals regularly transmitted the information they collected to the Israeli side. An investigation into the matter is underway.
