Vice President of the United States J. D. Vance and his wife Usha Vance, who are on a visit to Azerbaijan, today visited the Alley of Martyrs.
The Vice President reverently commemorated the dear memory of the heroic sons and daughters of the Homeland who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for Azerbaijan's freedom and independence, and laid a wreath in front of the “Eternal Flame” monument.
Modern.az reports that the US Embassy made a post regarding Vance's visit.
"Today, U.S. Vice President James David Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance visited the Alley of Martyrs and deeply honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's independence. This visit by the Vance family not only expressed respect for the sacrifices made by the Azerbaijani people but also once again emphasized the importance of a culture of remembrance, human dignity, and peace",-the post states.
