Before Vice President J.D. Vance's visit, 9 U.S. military transport aircraft landed in Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that the total number of flights carried out between February 4-8 was 21. Of these, 12 landed in Yerevan.
All flights were carried out by Boeing C-17A Globemaster III aircraft, which are heavy military transport aircraft with a cargo capacity of up to 77.5 tons.
In addition, the Lockheed Martin MC-130J Commando II, a specialized military transport aircraft for U.S. Air Force special operations forces, also flew to Yerevan and Baku. The latter aircraft also conducted two flights to Georgia.
