President Ilham Aliyev, together with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, visited the Federal Republic of Germany on February 13 to participate in the Munich Security Conference.
Modern.az reports that tomorrow, the head of state will participate in a panel discussion within the framework of the conference on the topic "Open Corridor Policy? Deepening Trans-Caspian Cooperation".
In the panel discussions, along with President Ilham Aliyev, Marta Kos, Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Commission, and Wang Huiyao, founder of the Center for China and Globalization and former state counselor of the People's Republic of China, will participate.
The moderator of the event will be Helga Maria Schmid, Ambassador for Global Issues at the German Federal Foreign Office and President of the European Institute of Peace.
In the discussion, the geopolitical and economic importance of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor, the role of alternative logistics routes in the Eurasian space, as well as the prospects of an open corridor policy in East-West connections will be the main discussion topics.
