The safe evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens whose flights have been cancelled due to the situation in the Middle East is being carried out from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Baku.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the press service of "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC.
It is expected that an AZAL-owned "Boeing 787 Dreamliner" type aircraft will land at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the coming hours. With this evacuation flight, a total of 209 citizens are ensured to return to the country.
Currently, AZAL, as the national air carrier, is carrying out the safe and planned execution of flights in accordance with the procedures established by relevant authorities.
It should be noted that the organization of additional evacuation flights from other destinations in the Middle East to Baku is planned in the coming days.
