March 6 marks the commemoration day of Mammad Amin Rasulzade, one of the founders of the first democratic republic in the East – the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
According to Modern.az, M.A. Rasulzade passed away on March 6, 1955, at the clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University.
M.A. Rasulzade was born on January 31, 1884, in the village of Novkhani, Baku.
In 1918, he rendered invaluable service in the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
After the fall of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1920, he was forced to live abroad for a long time.
He passed away on March 6, 1955, at the clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University. Rasulzade's grave is in the Asri Cemetery in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
