March 8 – International Women's Day, and due to March 9 being declared a non-working day according to the Labor Code, changes will be made to the operating schedule of the Baku Metro.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Emil Ahmadov, advisor to the chairman of the board of "Baku Metro" CJSC, in a statement to journalists.
According to him, the metro will operate on an enhanced schedule on both aforementioned non-working days: On the "28 May-Ahmadli" section, the train interval will be 2.5 minutes throughout the day. On March 8 and 9, reserve trains and necessary personnel will be allocated across all lines, and control measures will be strengthened.
On the "Purple" line, as well as on the "Hazi Aslanov-Ahmadli" and "Jafar Jabbarli-Khatai" sections, intervals will remain unchanged.
Passengers traveling to and from "Bakmil" can use the Saturday schedule on March 8 and 9".
