A phone conversation took place between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, and the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz.

It was stated that during the phone conversation, strong protest was expressed regarding the drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 5, and it was emphasized that these attacks contradict the norms and principles of international law.
A. Asadov stated that as a result of the drone attacks against our country, Nakhchivan International Airport, a school, and other areas were subjected to fire by Iran, several civilians were injured, and the airport terminal building was damaged.
It was emphasized that after the incident, the immediate expression of support to the Azerbaijani people by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, through a phone call to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was a clear manifestation of the unbreakable brotherhood and solidarity existing between the two countries.
A. Asadov thanked the fraternal Turkish side for the operational support provided in temporarily organizing flights to Iğdır Airport to ensure the safety of air travel carried out in the direction of Nakhchivan due to the current situation.
During the phone conversation, current issues on the agenda arising from the existing situation were also discussed.
