Today will be the third Qadr (Ahya) night of the month of Ramadan.
Modern.az reports that this year's first Qadr night of Ramadan fell on the night of March 8-9.
The last Qadr nights of the month of Ramadan fall on March 16.
The month of Ramadan began on February 19.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ramadan Bayram (Eid al-Fitr) will be celebrated in Azerbaijan on March 20 and 21.
The Night of Qadr is the night when Allah's holy book, the “Quran”, was revealed. Allah Almighty says in the “Holy Quran”: “Indeed, We sent it down (“the Quran”) on the Night of Qadr!”
If a person engages in worship on the Night of Qadr, their worship on this night will be superior and more virtuous than worship for a thousand months (approximately 84 years).
Many hadiths have been narrated in traditions about the virtues of the Night of Qadr.
On the Night of Qadr, Allah accepts people's prayers.
Keeping vigil (ahya), meaning staying awake until dawn, on the Night of Qadr is considered meritorious. On that night, merely staying awake is also considered an act of worship. Because staying awake itself completely distinguishes this blessed night from other days of the year.
Whoever stays awake and worships Allah on the Night of Qadr, Allah Almighty will record for them a reward greater than the reward of worship for a thousand months.
