In April 2023, Aqşin Bəbirov, who went missing in the border area of Shahbuz district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with Armenia and was taken captive by Armenia, and later handed over to Azerbaijan, has been brought to criminal responsibility.
Modern.az reports that he was found guilty under Article 127.2.3 of the Criminal Code.
Specifically, Aqşin Bəbirov had an argument with another traffic participant while driving a “KIA Pride” brand car, which he was operating under a power of attorney in the Sabunçu district. During the argument, A. Bəbirov stated that he had created an accident situation for the driver of a “Mercedes” brand car.
As the dispute between the parties continued, Aqşin Bəbirov struck the driver with a piece of metal.
It should be noted that Aqşin Bəbirov, who is accused of intentionally causing minor bodily harm, has had his freedom restricted for a period of 1 year.
It should be recalled that Aqşin Bəbirov, along with Hüseyn Axundov, was released from captivity in December 2023, based on an agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. (“Teleqraf”)
