A meeting was held with representatives of Azerbaijani mass media by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, at the Foundation's headquarters located in Baku.
Modern.az reports that during the meeting, Aktoty Raimkulova informed media representatives about the organization's areas of activity, implemented projects, achieved results, and plans for the upcoming period. She emphasized the important role of mass media in disseminating the activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation to a wide audience, noting that the Foundation is one of the main international institutions contributing to the promotion of the rich culture and heritage of the Turkic world on an international level. According to her, over 135 complex projects, events, and initiatives have been implemented by the Foundation during 2024–2025.
During the meeting, it was also brought to attention that the composition of the Foundation has expanded. It was stated that Uzbekistan joined the Foundation as a full member in 2025, while Turkmenistan obtained observer status.
Within the framework of the meeting, projects aimed at the preservation of tangible cultural heritage were also presented. These projects include the restoration of Alikul Osmonov's house-museum in Kyrgyzstan, the restoration of the Gochahmadli mosque located in Azerbaijan's Fuzuli district, as well as the museumification of the ancient Kulan settlement in Kazakhstan. In addition, participants were informed about publication projects and digital initiatives aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
Finally, the President of the Foundation expressed her gratitude to the media representatives for their attention and informational support to the organization's activities, emphasizing that the media is a reliable partner in promoting the common cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
The event continued with an iftar dinner organized by the President of the Foundation in honor of the media representatives.
