For the first time, the tuition fees of approximately 10 thousand internally displaced persons receiving higher and secondary specialized education were paid by the state.
According to information obtained by Modern.az from the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers, in the 2025/2026 academic year, the total number of students with internally displaced person status newly admitted on a paid basis to state higher and secondary specialized educational institutions and whose education expenses are covered by the state amounted to 3,923 people.
It should be noted that the same indicator amounted to 4.3 thousand people in the 2024/2025 academic year.
