President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

I sincerely congratulate you and, in your person, the fraternal people of Kazakhstan on the successful completion of the referendum on the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The outcome of the referendum – the adoption of the new Constitution – is a clear expression of your people's unity and national will, a manifestation of their great trust and confidence in you, and an indicator of their support for the resolute policy you pursue for the welfare of Kazakhstan. There is no doubt that this significant event, which envisages the modernization of the political system and the improvement of the governance model, will mark the beginning of a new stage in Kazakhstan's history, contribute to the comprehensive development of your fraternal country, and further strengthen its role and position on the international stage.
I am confident that the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, strategic partnership, and alliance, drawing strength from the common history and rich spiritual values of our peoples, and based on friendship, brotherhood, mutual trust, and support,
will continue to develop along an upward trajectory and further strengthen through our joint efforts.
