After the war began, North Korea transferred up to 11 million shells to Russia.

Modern.az reports, citing Russian media, that supplies began in the summer of 2023. Since then, 4 Russian ships have made at least 112 trips to North Korea, delivering 8-11 million shells to the Russian army.

On average, North Korea supplied Russia with approximately 350,000 shells per month. This quantity would be sufficient for the Russian army to sustain offensive operations for about one month.

Over time, the volume of North Korea's ammunition supply fleet has decreased. Since the beginning of 2026, no new supply fact has been detected. This can be explained by Russia increasing its own shell production or by North Korea's reserves being depleted.
