"The identity of those who gave the order regarding the missiles fired from Iran towards Azerbaijan and Turkey is being investigated".
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
He stated that these attacks have no benefit for Iran:
"We frequently hold discussions on this topic with Azerbaijan. The firing of missiles by Iran towards both Azerbaijan and Turkey should never have happened. This is because Azerbaijan and Turkey are among the countries that have most strongly expressed that this war is meaningless.
The possibilities of provocation are also being seriously discussed here. Because Iran attacking these two countries brings no benefit to it. Masoud Pezeshkian also stated in his declaration that these attacks were not carried out by Iran".
Fuat Oktay emphasized the importance of investigating under whose instruction the missiles fired at Azerbaijan and Turkey were carried out:
"Yes, it is known that the missile was fired from Iranian territory, and it is possible that the person who pressed the button is Iranian. However, the main issue is that it must be investigated under whose instruction that button was pressed," he noted.(APA)
