A 4-magnitude earthquake occurred in an ancient Azerbaijani city

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 occurred in Armenia. The epicenter of the earthquake was 8 km southeast of Martuni city.

Modern.az reports, citing the National Seismological Service of Armenia, that the earthquake was felt with a force of 3-4 points in the surrounding areas.

It should be recalled that Martuni city was called Ashaghi Garanglig until 1926 and the majority of its population consisted of Azerbaijanis.
