The population should stay away from dangerous areas to protect themselves from mudslides and floods.
Modern.az reports that this was noted in the repeated appeal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the population regarding the unstable weather conditions observed in the country.
It was emphasized that currently unstable and rainy weather conditions, including intensive precipitation in several areas, are being observed, and such weather conditions are expected to continue in the coming days, with localized flooding and short-term mudslides and floods occurring in some mountain rivers.
"In connection with the aforementioned, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reiterates its appeal to the population, urging them to comply with the relevant safety rules. Thus, to protect against flooding caused by intensive precipitation, as well as mudslides and floods, one should stay away from dangerous areas, and if faced with such a danger, immediately move to a nearby high ground, and strictly follow the calls and recommendations of rescuers", the appeal stated.
