The Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency and its subordinate bodies, especially the United Water Supply Service of Large Cities, operate in an enhanced working regime due to intensive rains.

It was noted that the management of rainwater in the service area of large cities is controlled by the Operational Headquarters.
"Information received by the 955 Call Center, electronic and social network accounts, public relations phone lines, including information on the situation in sensitive areas, is managed via Geographic Information Systems (GIS) through the Operational Headquarters.
According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, National Hydrometeorology Service, the amount of intensive precipitation currently falling on Baku and the Absheron Peninsula has been recorded as 104 mm, which constitutes 440 percent of the monthly norm (approximately (more than four times)). In all water and sewage departments, continuous activity on a rotational basis has been further expanded in connection with intensive rains; the clearing of lines, the drainage of water, and the redirection of water to existing lines are being carried out.
Technicians with various functions have also been involved in the processes. The cleaning of areas from rainwater and the work towards directing flows to collectors are being continued intensively," the information states.
