Due to the ongoing intensive rainfall, traffic lights and their control devices in the capital are continuously monitored.
Regarding this, information was provided to Modern.az by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Intelligent Transport Management Center.
It was stated that technical problems arising due to weather conditions are being resolved, and information exchange is conducted jointly with the road police for the smooth movement of vehicles:
"For the purpose of ensuring the safe movement and operational efficiency of road users, citizens are requested to report any problems encountered with traffic lights located in the capital area to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Intelligent Transport Management Center's 24-hour hotline +994 12 404 41 22.
Furthermore, if traffic lights on the roads are not working for any reason or there is no regulator, the intersection is considered unregulated. In such cases, drivers must proceed by taking Article 77 of the Law "On Road Traffic" as a basis."..
