The marriage concluded between an Azerbaijani man and a Russian citizen in Russia's Yamal region has been declared invalid by a court decision.
Modern.az reports that the district prosecutor's office issued a statement regarding this.
It was stated that the marriage was registered in the city of Muravlenko in October last year. However, it was later discovered that the foreign citizen had an officially ongoing marriage in another country.
It was noted that this situation contradicts the requirements of the Family Code of the Russian Federation.
The prosecutor filed a lawsuit in court to have the marriage declared invalid. The court supported the position of the supervisory p and declared the marriage invalid.
Furthermore, the “Sever-Press” publication writes that since the beginning of the year, more than 40 foreign citizens have been deported from Russia for violating migration legislation in the Yamal region.
