Due to several days of intensive rainfall, exceeding the monthly norm by more than 6 times, a problem has arisen in the operational principle of the large-capacity pumping station operating in the Absheron district.
According to information provided by the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency to Modern.az, as a result of the joint activities of ADSEA and other state bodies, work is currently underway to restore the pumping station.
According to the information, several of the pumps have already been brought into operational condition. Currently, drinking water is supplied to all areas of the district. After the station's operations are fully restored, the previous scheduled regime for water supply will be ensured.
"Due to the problem in the pumping station's operation, there are difficulties in the process of clearing rainwater from some areas. Despite this, employees of the Agency's subordinate bodies continue their activities in an intensified work regime."- it was stated in the institution's report.
