For the first time after a 54-year hiatus, NASA's Artemis II mission has set off for the Moon.
According to Modern.az, four astronauts have commenced the mission from the Kennedy Space Center aboard the “Orion” spacecraft. The ten-day mission includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. Within the framework of the 10-day mission, they will conduct a flyby around the Moon, test the “Orion” spacecraft's systems in space conditions, and return to Earth.
It is noted that the “Artemis 2” mission will be the first crewed mission within the “Artemis” lunar program and the first human flight around the Moon in recent decades.
