Modern.az reports that this was stated by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the Baku meeting of the Prime Ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
"Today, we are very pleased to see Mr. Ünal Üstel, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, an observer member of our organization, with us. I would like to express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Asadov for their strong support for the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people. The island of Cyprus, with its strategic position, has become even more significant today in light of recent events in the region. Therefore, we must consider the KKTC as an element representing the common presence and common interests of the Turkic world in this geography. In this context, I invite all esteemed members of our Family Council to strengthen their political, economic, and cultural ties with the KKTC, increase their relations, and support their just cause in the international community," he stated.
