In Samukh district, within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”, a round table was held at the YAP Samukh district organization, with the joint organization of the Samukh District Executive Power and the YAP Samukh district organization, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the April Battles, on the topic of “Turning Point to Glorious Victory”.
Modern.az reports that before the event began, the dear memory of the founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Gunduz Bayramov, Chairman of the YAP Samukh district organization, who opened the event with an introductory speech, emphasized that the April Battles hold an important place in Azerbaijani history. He stated that the battles that took place in April 2016 demonstrated the strength of the Azerbaijani Army, the unity of the people and the army, and the determination of our state to the whole world. It was noted that these battles proved that the fact of occupation, which had lasted for many years, was not unchangeable, and laid the foundation for future great victories.
Gunduz Bayramov also brought to attention that at the core of the successes achieved by the Azerbaijani Army lies the political course defined by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and this course is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. It was emphasized that as a result of the purposeful policy implemented under the leadership of the head of state, the Azerbaijani Army has become one of the strongest armies in the region.
Other speakers at the event – Fidayil Aliyev, Garay Bayramov, Namiq Jafarov, and Tahmina Nasibova – spoke about the historical significance of the April Battles. It was stated that these battles once again demonstrated the high fighting spirit, patriotism, and readiness of the Azerbaijani soldier to sacrifice their life for the land at any moment.
In conclusion, the dear memory of the martyrs was once again respectfully commemorated, and it was specially emphasized that their heroism will live forever in the memory of our people.
