A meeting was held at the Absheron District Executive Power with the families of our heroic martyrs who ascended to the peak of martyrdom in the April battles.
Modern.az reports that the meeting was attended by Abdin Farzaliyev, Head of Absheron District Executive Power, Khatira Ismayilova, Chairwoman of the Public Council under Absheron DXP and mother of martyr Elchin Hasanli, Maharram Ibadov, Chairman of the District Council of Elders and father of martyr Rauf Ibadov, Jeyran Hasanova, Chief Advisor of Absheron-Khizi Regional Culture Department, representative for Absheron district, and mother of martyr Abdulmajid Akhundov, as well as senior officials of the DXP.
During the meeting, Abdin Farzaliyev stated that before the Patriotic War, the Armenian side repeatedly violated the ceasefire and carried out military provocations at various times, but these provocations were always adequately repelled by our army. According to the Head of the DXP, who emphasized that one such provocation was observed in early April 2016, but the enemy was crushed by the worthy response and counter-attack of the Azerbaijani Army, this battle became a turning point in the Karabakh war, and thus not only the opposing side but also the whole world saw the strength of our army.
It was noted that at the end of the battle, which went down in history as the “April Battles” and resulted in the absolute victory of the Azerbaijani Army, the heights around Talish village of Tartar district, the Lələtəpə height of Jabrayil district and Cocuq Mərcanlı, Gulustan village of Goranboy district, and some positions in the direction of Madagiz village of Tartar district were liberated from the enemy. With this battle, our soldiers managed to overturn the myths and fabrications created by criminal Armenian leaders about impenetrable Armenian trenches, thereby laying the foundation for the great return to Karabakh.
The Head of the DXP noted that with the foresight, political will, and deliberate decisions of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as the valor and heroism of our army united around the “Iron Fist,” our people emerged victorious in the 44-day Patriotic War, completely liberating our occupied territories. Emphasizing that life and vitality have thus returned to Karabakh, A. Farzaliyev added that should any armed provocation against our homeland occur in the future, our army is capable and ready to destroy all military interventions on the spot.
The Head of the DXP, emphasizing that the families of martyrs living in Absheron district, like in all territories of our Republic, constantly feel the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, inquired about the concerns of the martyr families.
Then, Khatira Ismayilova, Chairwoman of the Public Council under Absheron DXP and mother of martyr Elchin Hasanli, Maharram Ibadov, Chairman of the District Council of Elders and father of martyr Rauf Ibadov, and the families of the April martyrs, in turn, expressed their gratitude, highlighting that they constantly feel the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.
