Georgia's leading television channels and information portals have extensively covered the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to this country.

Modern.az reports that the local press specifically noted the hoisting of the State Flag of Azerbaijan on Tbilisi's central streets and avenues in honor of the high-ranking guest.

“1tv.ge” writes that this visit by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will give new impetus to relations between the two brotherly countries. “The issues discussed today once again demonstrate that Georgia and Azerbaijan are together, as they always have been,” the website stated.

At the same time, a special place was given to the significant achievements in the economic sphere in a series of materials published with reference to the speech of our head of state. Drawing attention to the remarks made by President Ilham Aliyev in his statement to the press, it was noted that the volume of trade turnover between the two countries could exceed one billion by the end of the year.

On the “Rustavi2.ge” portal, it was specifically emphasized that Azerbaijan has invested 3.7 billion dollars in the Georgian economy to date.

The “Imedinews.ge” website, noting that bilateral relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are based on mutual respect and trust, presented this as an example for all neighboring states.

The “Info9.ge” portal writes that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner for Georgia in terms of energy security.

The “Interpressnews.ge” portal, citing President Ilham Aliyev, noted that Georgia is developing dynamically, its economic growth is very evident, and a very favorable investment environment has been created in the country.

“Primitime.ge” writes that the Azerbaijani President's speech expressed satisfaction with the more dynamic development of relations between the two countries. It is stated that Azerbaijan and Georgia support each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders in all international organizations. This has always been the case and will continue to be so in the future.

The “İpress.ge” website also featured President Ilham Aliyev's remarks: “Azerbaijani oil and gas are transported to world markets via Georgia, and oil resources from the eastern shores of the Caspian Sea are also transported through Azerbaijan and Georgia. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline has been successfully operating for 20 years. The Southern Gas Corridor was implemented after that, and today this infrastructure, in fact, holds significant importance for a large geography. We then built transport corridors over these corridors, and today work is underway to expand these transport corridors. The Middle Corridor passes through Azerbaijan and Georgia. This is a main transport artery for us, and additional efforts are being made and will be made to expand it.”

tvpirveli.ge writes that President Ilham Aliyev stated in his press statement that today, ideas were exchanged regarding new investment projects for both Azerbaijan and Georgia. He added that joint investments in third countries might also be considered at some point.

“Naturally, every time we meet, we discuss many issues, including the regional situation and regional security matters. Today is no exception,” said the Azerbaijani President.

kvirispalitra.ge also extensively covered the remarks of our head of state: “Mr. Prime Minister also touched upon the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I can say that merely signed documents are not enough to strengthen this process. We must strengthen this peace at every moment, with every step taken, and the best direction for this is trade. Today, trade between Azerbaijan and Armenia is carried out through Georgia. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to the Georgian government.

Azerbaijan has taken steps for many years to strengthen the energy security of many countries in the energy sector. Today, Azerbaijani gas is exported to 16 countries.”

In addition, the visit of the Azerbaijani President was also extensively covered on the websites of formulanews.ge, netgazeti.ge, cbw.ge, georgiatoday.ge, bpn.ge, commersant.ge, ipress.ge, primetime.ge, 2020news.ge, tabula.ge, geotimes.com.ge, bm.ge, aktual.ge, 24news.ge, palitranews.ge, apsny.ge, and other media outlets.

The materials included information about the welcoming ceremony of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva at the airport, as well as the official welcoming ceremony of our head of state at the residence of the Georgian President, and his meeting with President Mixeil Kavelaşvili.

The point that received the most attention from the Georgian press was the remarks made by our head of state in his statement to the press after the meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The head of state's views on peace and security in the South Caucasus were also widely covered: “Today, a completely new situation is emerging in the South Caucasus, and the countries located in the South Caucasus should not miss these opportunities. Because today, peace, security, tranquility, and stability are unfortunately being disrupted in various parts of the world, resulting in bloody clashes, wars, suffering, and losses. A similar situation once existed in the South Caucasus. But today, the South Caucasus is transforming into a space of peace, tranquility, security, and cooperation, and I would like to particularly emphasize Georgia's role here,” it is reported, citing President Ilham Aliyev.

It should be noted that, in total, nearly 90 materials were published on more than 50 portals and television channels of the neighboring country.
