The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack on the UAE embassy in Syria.
Modern.az reports that this was stated on the ministry's “X” account.
“We strongly condemn the recent attack on the UAE embassy in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic, by a group of protesters. Such acts of violence against diplomatic missions are unacceptable and constitute a clear violation of international law, as well as the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the protection and security of diplomatic personnel and facilities. We welcome the statement issued by the Syrian government and its determination to take all measures to hold those responsible for this matter accountable before the law,” the post stated.
