According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, intermittently strengthening winds, rainy weather, and lightning are forecast in some areas until April 10.
Modern.az reports that, taking into account the aforementioned, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public regarding relevant safety rules.
It has been stated that during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light-structured and temporary buildings, buildings and advertising billboards, and not to stand under electric poles and wires or tall trees.
Furthermore, taking into account the difficulties created by strong winds in extinguishing fires, fire safety rules must be observed with particular strictness in windy weather conditions. Moreover, small vessel users should take into account that going out to sea is prohibited in such weather conditions.
At the same time, to protect against lightning-related dangers, it is necessary to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, not to talk on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), when outdoors, not to approach power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas, not to shelter under tall trees and for this purpose, choose a relatively low-lying area, and if in a car, stop the movement, raise the windows, and wait for the lightning to cease.
