Clarification has been provided regarding the disseminated information concerning the placement of 3 minor children from a low-income family in Tovuz district into an orphanage.
Modern.az contacted the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs (SCFWCA) in connection with the fact.
In response to our inquiry, the committee's press secretary Teymur Mardanoglu stated that the disseminated information regarding the children being abandoned by their parents does not reflect the truth.
According to him, the children were discovered by the Tovuz District Executive Power.
"Based on information provided by neighbors, representatives of the Executive Power, police officers, and relevant agencies inspected the family. It was determined that the children were in a neglected state. For this reason, the children were initially placed in a hospital for examination", - the information emphasized.
According to information from the Committee, the children's father suffers from alcohol addiction, and the mother has psychological problems.
"The children's condition will be assessed, and if the fact is confirmed, they will be placed in a state children's institution", - SCFWCA stated.
It should be noted that a low-income family in Tovuz district applied regarding the placement of their 3 minor children in an orphanage. Specifically, a resident of the district applied to the Tovuz Executive Power, stating that they were unable to care for their 3 minor children. The children were taken by representatives of the Executive Power to the Tovuz District Central Hospital for examination.
