“According to Article 6.4 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Political Parties", subsequent changes in the register of party members must be reported to the Ministry of Justice once a year — by January 15.”
Changes in the register for 2026 have already been submitted to the Ministry of Justice by the parties. According to information published on the website of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, currently 755,629 people are members of this party.
It is interesting to know how many members other parties have, according to the latest statistics?
Modern.az conducted a survey among political parties regarding the issue.
Fazil Mustafa, Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, stated in response to our survey that the Great Establishment Party, which he chairs, has more than 7,000 members:
“Every year we go through the register. There are not many people who leave the membership. However, there are those who have passed away, and there are new individuals joining our party. Their statistics are also meticulously maintained.”
In a statement to our website, Elshad Musayev, Chairman of the Great Azerbaijan Party and MP, stated that the current number of party members is 6,525.
The Civic Solidarity Party, chaired by former MP Sabir Rustamkhanli, has 21,400 members.
This was stated by Tanzila Rustamkhanli, Deputy Chairwoman of the party and MP of the Milli Majlis, in response to our survey.
“The Civic Solidarity Party has 21,400 members. Of these, 7,704 (36%) are women, and 13,696 (64%) are men. 4,280 (20%) of the members are under 35 years old, 13,482 (63%) are between 35 and 65 years old, and 3,638 (17%) are over 65 years old. Members of the Civic Solidarity Party are united in 83 district (city) and 1 autonomous republic organizations. The party operates 1,253 primary organizations. Of these, 172 primary chairpersons are women, and 1,081 are men. Additionally, representatives of 18 ethnic minorities who are citizens of the country are represented in the CSP,” T. Rustamkhanli noted.
The Azerbaijan National Independence Party, chaired by Arzuhan Alizade, Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis, has approximately 6,000 members.
“In reality, the number of members in our party is higher. We still retain the data of approximately 30,000 party members from back then. Naturally, among them are those who left the party, and those who passed away. There are also those who are excluded from the party ranks due to engaging in activities incompatible with party work. In any case, we last submitted the registry data to the Ministry of Justice in January. 300 new members have joined the party. When the registry data is updated, we will submit the questionnaire data of our new members to the Ministry of Justice for inclusion in the registry. Currently, the questionnaire data of approximately 6,000 party members has been entered into the existing registry at the Ministry of Justice,” Arzuhan Alizade stated.
Elshan Musayev, Deputy Chairman of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the Milli Majlis, stated that the Azerbaijan Democratic Enlightenment Party, which he chairs, has 6,132 members:
“After the latest additions submitted to the state register regarding the number of members of the Azerbaijan Democratic Enlightenment Party, the figure is 6,132. At the same time, 3 members of the party passed away in 2025. In the last two years, 535 new members, mostly young people, have been admitted to the party.”

The National Front Party, chaired by MP Razi Nurullayev, has 5,438 members.
“On 09.01.2026, we submitted the report on members to the Ministry of Justice. Thus, the number of our registered members is 5,438,” the party stated in response to our website's inquiry.
The Justice, Law, Democracy Party, chaired by Gudrat Hasanguliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption, has 6,200 members.
Niyamaddin Ordubadli, Secretary of the JLDP, informed our website about this.
“6,200 people are officially registered in the Ministry of Justice's registry system,” he noted.
Gunay Agamali, MP of the Milli Majlis, stated that the Motherland Party, which she leads, has approximately 6,000 members.
Akif Naghi, Chairman of the Free Motherland Party, said that his party has 5,239 members.
He added that 161 people became party members this year.
Tural Abbasli, Chairman of the White Party, stated that the number of registered members is over 10,000.
In response to our website's inquiry, Giyasi Sadigov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan People's Party, stated that the number of party members is around 5,500.

Natig Jafarli, Chairman of the REAL Party, said in response to our survey:
“Every year, registry data is updated in accordance with legislation. An update was carried out in January. I don't remember the exact figure, but we have between 5,200 and 5,300 members.”
Adam Bakuvi, Chairman of the Unity Party, noted that they have approximately 9,000 members.
Mutallim Rahimli, Chairman of the Justice Party, emphasized that the party currently has 5,627 members:
“As politics is a dynamic process, the organizational work of parties is commensurate with it. Greater activity, accordingly, means attracting more members. Recently, the activity of young people in the Justice Party has been noticeable, and this is encouraging. It is a good sign that, albeit slowly, the number of our party members is gradually increasing. Currently, the Justice Party has 5,627 members.”

Aghasif Shakiroglu, Chairman of the Future Azerbaijan Party, stated that there has been no change in the number of party members and that currently 5,800 people are members of the party.
Hafiz Hajiyev, Chairman of the Modern Musavat Party, responded to our survey as follows:
“Since the party's inception, we have issued 77,630 party membership cards. The number of our members registered in the Ministry of Justice's registry is over 6,000. The number of our members is increasing. We have attracted young people, our women's branch is strong, and the council of elders is constantly active. So, everything is in order.”
Arif Hajili, Secretary General of the Musavat Party, emphasized that the party has around 6,000 members.
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Justice and Truth Party, chaired by former Minister of Health Ali Insanov, held on January 17, 2026, it was noted that the number of party members in JTP had reached 31,051 by the end of December 2025.
Musa Agayev, Chairman of the New Era Party, noted in our party's statement that 9,870 individuals are members.
