“Stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin and his aggression against Ukraine, as well as other countries, would be cheaper now. The world must act together to force Russia into peace.”
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his speech at the general debates of the UN General Assembly.
Zelenskyy emphasized that stopping the war and the arms race requires less expense than building huge bunkers for underground kindergartens or to hide critical infrastructure.
“Stopping Putin now is cheaper than trying to protect every port and every ship from terrorists and sea drones. We must act together and differently to stop the aggressor. Then we will have a chance for the arms race not to bring us disaster,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President stated that if weapons and pressure against Russia are needed, it must be done now, otherwise Putin will expand and prolong the war.
