Mass poisoning from counterfeit alcoholic beverages has occurred in Russia's Leningrad region.
Modern.az, referring to Russian media, reports that 12 people have died as a result of the incident.
A 79-year-old local resident is suspected of selling counterfeit alcoholic beverages. His wife is also among those poisoned. The pensioner has been detained. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident under the article of causing death by negligence.
